A major operational service is providing the National Saltmarsh Mosquito Surveillance Program to the New Zealand Government. This service includes assessment and field surveillance of potential suitable habitat for early detection of exotic saltmarsh mosquito species. The program employs 9 full time and 4 part time staff, operating from 8 locations across New Zealand. We run a laboratory located in Wellington to process collected samples for identification to species.
